Political consultations among senior representatives from both ministries of foreign affairs are regularly held in respective Capitals. This year such consultations were held in Bern The Albanian delegation was headed by Mrs. Mimoza Halimi, General Director of Political and Strategic Affairs while Mrs. Krystyna Marty Lang, Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs headed the Swiss counterpart. During the consultations, a broad range of issues were dealt with ranging from political to economic and consular issues. Bilateral relations and cooperation within the framework of international organizations was also discussed. Both sides analyzed the progress of relations and defined co-operation points for the coming year. Switzerland is one of Albania’s leading donors and the strategy for co-operation and development for the period 2018-2021, amounts to 105 million francs.
