52 years ago, on July 20,1970 Albania and Switzerland established diplomatic relations.

After more than half a century, both countries share similar values and have forged close ties among the two people. During this period of time, we have managed to know each other and construct a profound and stable relationship which is based on trust and reciprocal self-awareness that can exist only among close friends and which is based on strong ties and numerous exchanges.

A decisive role in the strengthening of the relations has undoubtedly played the great Albanian community that lives and works in Switzerland. It is beyond any doubt that the contribution of the Albanian Diaspora in Switzerland is inalienable and has served as a bridge between our two people and countries.
